Highlights:

  • Acworth Town Forest, located next to Crescent Lake, is lined with old stone walls and homestead stone foundations.
  • Cornish Town Forest has 270 acres of undeveloped forest with beautiful views and hiking trails on various wooded terrain.
  • For picnicking and other recreational activities, Moody Park is a 255-acre area in Claremont with a trail network that offers a wide range of outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking and mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, a playground, and picnic tables.
  • Pillsbury State Park near Washington is one of the lesser-known state parks in New Hampshire.
