Acclaimed documentary and portrait photographer Deanna Meadow Fitch will present her latest photography series, We Live by the Seasons, at the Claremont Opera House Atrium Gallery. The exhibit, inspired by Fitch’s deep connection to her family’s tenth-generation farm in Cornish, N.H., captures the timeless beauty and rhythm of rural life. Influenced by photographers Jack Leigh and Walker Evans, Fitch’s work evokes a sense of nostalgia and highlights the relationship between nature, family, and tradition.Location: Cornish

Join us for the first-ever Rail Trail Rendezvous! Start your journey from Newport or Claremont along the scenic Sugar River Rail Trail, ending in an afternoon celebration at Protectworth Brewing. Walk, run, bike, or ride ATVs. Enjoy yard games, food trucks, and live music starting at noon. The event is free, but registration is encouraged for planning. Shuttle services will be available to return participants to their starting points, and limited parking is provided for non-participants. Family-friendly and will proceed rain or shine!Location: Cornish

Saint-Gaudens National Historic Park will be hosting the Annual Star Party on Saturday, September 7 in partnership with the Springfield Telescope Makers and Sullivan County Conservation District. This is a free event and includes programs like a ranger-led hike at 6pm, family-friendly nature walks at 7pm and 8:30pm, and the opportunity to view the night sky with telescopes.Date details: 10 am - 4 pm at participating farms across the county.
