The Claremont MakerSpace is a community-oriented creative hub that allows members to use the space, high-tech tools, and specialties of other users to create unique pieces of craftsmanship. The organization offers classes to the public on topics such as woodworking, fiber arts, and welding. The Claremont MakerSpace builds upon the Sugar River Region’s history of making. A historic mill building, known as the “Sawtooth,” in the center of Claremont was converted to house this non-profit as it fosters the next generation of local innovators.
