We had an absolutely wonderful time! We arrived around 7 p.m. on our motorcycles and still received a very warm welcome. Since we were only staying for one night, we were able to get Site 2, which is definitely highly recommended. The staff was super friendly, and waking up in my hammock with the sun shining and a beautiful view of the lake was amazing. The next morning, we headed north and stopped at Tucker’s in New London, which was a great place for breakfast.

Best rustic State Park! I absolutely love the staff!!! Campers are allowed but no electric or sweage hook ups. I love the quiet (and not listening to a generator from a camper).

Awesome state park for camping. Some really nice spots right on the pond. Canoeing and fishing was a lot of fun. Unfortunately it was too hot for hiking but Sunapee lake is 20 minutes away and offered a nice spot to cool off. Will definitely be back again.

I need to leave this place a great review although I want it to stay a secret. We went mid week in early August and essentially had the whole campground to ourselves. There is no electricity at all on the campground and make sure to have cash for firewood. There is one water pump on site so bring a big reservoir to fill and a tub to do your dishes in if you are tenting. It was beautiful and peaceful and be sure to bring a kayak for the excellent paddling. I heard not to swim because of leaches but I did swim anyway and did not get any leaches. The water was crystal clear. The best part, I was able to harvest handfuls of wild blueberries without even hardly leaving my campsite!

Just idyllic in every sense. Rangers were feejdnly and helpful. Pond was surprisingly not more than 4ft deep almost everywhere. Would rerurn.
