Old School CFIGreat Grass roots airport. Friendly locals. Might not have all the amenity's some folks have come to expect, but you can land on the grass, and that's a lot of fun. Haven't tried the local camping, but it would be an nice spot for it. You might try fishing in the Sugar River which runs to either side of the field. There's an office or pilots lounge where you can get a soda, and set for a spell, while you work out your next leg.

Stephen KolaczAs airports go, it's OK. The restaurant is permanently closed as of this typing. There were no Uber cars available to get into town. There's mention of bicycles, but didn't see any and no one was in bldg to ask. Bathroom was clean and appears you could do flight planning if needed. There is a good size hill to side of appch end of 18, I dog legged it to final til clear. Runway surface was in good condition. All-in-all a nice field, but limited, if any transportation available. We were there on a Sunday morning 8am, so maybe it livens up later in the am, so your mileage may vary.

Richard MeleadyGreat fly in strip for $100 burger at Lil Red Baron restaurant right on the airport property. Good gas prices here, self serve. Friendly staff. If they have time they will give you a ride downtown (1.5 miles) to eat or they will let you borrow a couple bikes to ride in on your own. Check out the website for the airport

Gregory GoodrichFriendly local airport in Newport, NH neat Lake Sunapee. On-field camping, and nearby trails for biking and walking. There's also a covered bridge on the west side of the field, just off the approach end of Runway 12 (grass strip). There's also a paved runway. Drop in and day hello!!

April DarrohnWe were going there for many years too swim in the river, but we stopped cause there was a lot of broken glass bottles every where and jus glass pieces all over the ground, but today June 27th was our first day back there and I noticed it has been cleaned up a lot and it looks very nice and the water is very nice and clean and very comfortable, i feel it could use another picnic table
