Racquel GarciaThis building is beautiful and historically fascinating. It's a tight, little opera house, the chairs are fold-out, zip-tied together, and people sit elbow to elbow. The staff is friendly and helpful.

KARLA WALKERSpectacular, quintessential, New England, village performance theater/hall/venue. Gorgeous solid wood balcony that wraps around 3 sides, plus there's two "box seats" sections in the balcony, complete with dark curtains! The stage was very well lit. [We attended a school Christmas/Holiday Concert.] This venue holds several annual events & many "one time" events, like a local school play or concert. Apparently, it is available for rentals, therefore, the options are pretty endless as to what sort of events people could have here (though I'm certain there's a "Restrictions" clause!). I've lived in the general area my entire life but somehow I had never been to the Newport Opera House in my previous 45 years, so it was exciting to see it for the 1st time & I was pleasantly surprised at how clean & shiny, and I was definitely impressed by the whole experience. Oh, I almost forgot -- the exterior of this quintessential New England village building is perfect: Solid red brick with an enormous clock tower for all the "villagers" to see! Just a perfect building in a perfect spot.
