Serena LiaoIt did get icy over the past few days, and some tree areas, along with a number of black and double-black runs, were closed. Sunapee isn’t a massive mountain, nor does it offer extremely varied terrain compared to larger resorts. That said, their kids’ programs are outstanding. The coaching is exceptionally well run, and the instructors are highly qualified. They teach real skiing skills rather than simply letting kids lap the mountain. Coaches pay close attention to each child in the group and focus on meaningful technical development. The level system runs from Magic Carpet 1 all the way to Black 9, which truly covers the full spectrum of ability. My Blue 8 and Black 9 kids both loved their coaches and their full-day lessons. The coaches struck a great balance between structured drills and fun, and the check-in staff did a great job placing kids into appropriate levels. Overall, we are extremely happy with Sunapee’s kids programs. Logistically, everything is easy and well organized. You can drop kids off around 9:30am right in front of the Adventure Center and unload gear there. Parking is typically in Lot 2 or 3 (Lot 1 usually fills by 9:30), followed by a short shuttle ride back. They also operate an open-air truck shuttle between the two lodges near Lot 1. It’s honestly only about a two-minute walk, so we didn’t use it much, but it could be very convenient for some families. The trail layout is also thoughtful: green runs are separated from blue and black terrain, which is excellent for warming up and for younger or less experienced skiers. Food is standard ski-resort fare, and bathrooms could benefit from more frequent cleaning on busy days. Wi-Fi in the main lodge was reliable, and we didn’t encounter any lift issues during our three-day stay. The highlight of our trip was New Year’s Eve. Sunapee organized an incredible celebration with games, outdoor live music, axe throwing, s’mores, bonfires, an indoor party, cotton candy, kids’ crafts, and more—truly something for everyone. At 8:30pm, there was a countdown followed by a fantastic fireworks show that lasted over 10 minutes. Best of all, the entire New Year’s Eve celebration was completely free. Thank you to the Sunapee Resort staff and coaches for such a wonderful experience—we’ll absolutely be back.

Dood DoodStaff are awesome. Good is above average for ski resorts and priced well. Beer prices are solid if you drink. The terrain is awesome for where we are and what it is. Thankful to have a great place I can easily access from the north shore! Stunning views, and with fresh powder there are some sick runs

Bob TWent skiing for the first time this year and the open trails were well groomed and had plenty of natural and man-made snow. The Ambassador Jack was super helpful since it was my first visit to Sunapee. Thanks.

Ray DecorteI have skied many places in North America. Wonderful,nice people would be an understatement. I will always return. Terrain to satisfy everyone and people with time and interest in guest's happiness and comfort. Attached photo is ski resume. Some of those places could use a lesson from the staff at Sunapee. Sorry Killington.⛷️
