I recently stopped by The Bend At Sugar River in Sunapee and was thoroughly impressed. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee, everything is prepared with care and attention to detail. The breakfast sandwiches are especially outstanding, and the homemade baked goods are hard to resist. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. Nestled along the Sugar River, it offers a beautiful setting with outdoor seating and a warm, welcoming interior. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely make you feel at home from the moment you walk through the door. The Bend is more than just a deli—it's a community gathering spot that combines excellent food, local charm, and outstanding hospitality. If you're in the Lake Sunapee area, it's absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Great deli with very friendly and helpful employees. Beautiful outdoor seating as well. I have a number of food allergies so they prepared my sandwich in a separate pan. The deli is so good I returned a few days later. My sandwich was done just before the fire alarm was activated. The staff handled the issue really well and evacuated the deli. My sandwich tasted just as good in the parking lot as it did on the patio on my previous visit!

We had such a wonderful girls’ weekend, and one of the absolute highlights was lunch at The Bend at Sugar River. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever feeling rushed. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish we tried was delicious, and you could tell real care went into both the menu and presentation. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the view. Sitting by the water with great food, great company, and such a relaxing atmosphere made for the perfect New Hampshire getaway. It’s the kind of place you immediately start recommending to friends before you’ve even left the parking lot. We honestly can’t say enough good things about it and will absolutely be back the next time we’re in Sunapee.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience grabbing food at The Bend at Sugar River. Not only were the staff super friendly and helpful, the food was delicious! There are so many options and my friend Sage was able to enjoy many gluten free goodies. The atmosphere is very enjoyable, including a nice seating area outside overlooking the water. Definitely a must try!

Delicious breakfast sandwiches made to order on bread they make in house! I had an egg, cheese and bacon on an everything bagel. Top notch! Friendly staff 🙂 Cute store with some premade sandwiches to go if you’re in a rush. Absolutely gorgeous property overlooking the river. The view of their gardens from the back patio alone is worth the trip. Awesome spot. Well done Bend Team!
