JIm LutherIf you've spent any time around Sunapee Harbor and haven't gotton youself over to Sunapee Cellar & Pantry, you must be under a rock! Reese and Julie, the proprietors, have brought great vibe to the harbor with their hand selected wines, meats & cheeses, crackers, and tasteful gifts. You won't want to miss their newly opened outdoor patio where you can sit and relax watching all the harbor activity while you enjoy a great glass of wine and a charcuterie plate. Nothing beats a sunny day under the umbrellas at your own table. The world may be rushing by, but you can set your own pace with the best fruit of the vine, cheeses, and artisan crackers. You do not want to miss their wine tastings, a Sunapee Harbor must. On many Thursday evenings they offer a curated selection of wines from around the world for you to sample. Emily and Derek, two of my favorite distributors, do a superb job guiding you through their selections. These typically take place from 4 to 6 P.M. You may want to get there early, because on a nice day the tables can fill up quickly. Check their web site for dates. These wine tastings are such a special time, that many evenings we'll make a new friend who shares our love of all things wine. One welcome addition for the morning crowd is their superb coffee bar. Their european machine is a wonder at creating pretty much any coffee/espresso drink you would like. Check their web site for mornings/days when they're serving coffee. There may be other places in the harbor who purport to serve coffee, but don't be fooled by these pretenders. Get the real thing! I hope you fall in love with a new wine that perhaps you've never tasted before and when you're there tell Reese and Julie that Jim sent you! Cheers!
