At Hoptimystic Brewing & Hoptimystic Brewing- Sunapee in Sunapee, NH for a few pints & a couple tasters for my first visit here. I had heard about these guys for years now, but had only had a couple of their beers in the wild so this trip was definitely due. My second to last brewery to hit in New Hampshire before I complete the state, with my last brewery being In The Woods Brewing and Spirits. I had really enjoyed the HOPTIMYST PRIME DIPA when I had it in 2023 so I was looking forward to checking out the other styles they offered in the taproom. This is the main taproom in Sunapee, with a second location Hoptimystic Brewing- Enfield in Enfield, NH that I will eventually get to in the future. They had a pretty diverse selection on draft including a blonde, stout, multiple IPA's, lager, seltzer & more so I had plenty to choose from style wise here. 🍻🍻☘☘ My first of the three pints was the MOCKTOBERFEST Amber Lager, a good above average lager that covered all the bases. I've become a huge fan of anything amber or red over the past couple years. My second pint was the NY'S AMBER ALE, a super drinkable red ale with a nice malty finish. My third & last pint was the GOURDZILLA Pumpkin/Yam, I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin beer, but this was really good with some delicious caramel & cinnamon on top of the pumpkin. I finished my visit with two different tasters, the first being the RIGHT STATE WRONG COAST West Coast IPA. It was a collaboration with Henniker Brewing Company & hit all the piney, bitter & malty notes a west coast should. The second taster was the KING OF SPADES Milk Stout, it was a average milk stout, nothing wild, the usual creamy, chocolate & coffee flavors. 🍻🔥🏆🍺☘🤘 I of course had to try the burger here, it was a double smash with lettuce, tomato & a house sauce. It wasn't a wild burger filled with gimmicks, but it was really good & cooked perfectly. All the seating options here including tables, hightops, bar & a patio section on the river. There was a good amount of beer to go to choose from for home or tastings with friends later. I scooped a can of the SMOOTH HOPERATOR IPA to try at home & it was a good solid American IPA. Great brewery with some excellent beers, I can't wait to check out the sister taproom soon. Finally got out to Hoptimystic in Sunapee and it was awesome!! Great selection of beers, the maple lager is everything. One of the best burgers I've had from Fenton Landing. The location is perfect, I'm looking forward to returning in the warmer months to sit outside. Highly recommend!
